Congratulations to the Saline High School women's water polo team for their State Runner-Up finish at the state championship tournament last weekend!  The Hornets entered the tournament as the 4th seed from the East Side, upset Hudsonville, the 1st seed from the West Side, when senior captain Carly Haller scored with 41 seconds left to give the team a 6-5 lead.  In the semi-finals, Saline won a tough, well-played game against Okemos, 10-9.  The ladies met a tough opponent in the championship game, losing to Ann Arbor Pioneer 10-6.  The 2nd place finish is the highest ever for a Saline water polo team, and head coach Brad Silverman was named Michigan Coach of the Year.

Congratulations once again, ladies.  You've done your school and community proud!
