Meet Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services - Mr. Steve Laatsch.

Steve Laatsch was named Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services in July of 2009.  Steve began his teaching career in Takoma Park, Maryland in 1993. There, he taught 6th grade in an elementary school for two years and science in a middle school for two years.  Upon his return to Michigan in 1997, he served the Saline Area Schools in a variety of capacities including technology instructor, 6th grade teacher, assistant principal, and principal.

Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Administration. He is currently pursuing his Education Specialist Degree from Eastern Michigan University.  Steve lives in Pittsfield Township with his wife, Laura, and his two children, Jade and Jett.
